Naranjilla, also called lulo, is a small orange fruit from the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador with a tart green pulp that tastes like a cross between rhubarb and lime. The frozen pulp is unsweetened and very low in sugar, calories, and fat. Fiber is modest. It is almost exclusively used in juice form, blended with water and sugar to make lulada, one of Colombia's most popular fresh drinks. The raw pulp is extremely tart and not typically eaten on its own.
