MorningStar Farms built these meatless chik patties from soy protein concentrate and soy protein isolate layered inside a breaded wheat-flour coating, fried in corn oil. Protein runs meaningfully high for a frozen patty, and the fiber is solid for a breaded product, coming from the soy and wheat components. The sodium is noticeable. These work on a bun like any chicken patty and are aimed squarely at people reducing meat intake without giving up the crispy-patty format. Pan-fry or oven-bake from frozen.
