Simple Truth Maple & Brown Sugar Flavored Instant Oatmeal is a certified organic instant oatmeal from Kroger's Simple Truth line, designed for a quick warm breakfast. The first ingredient is organic rolled oats, which provide the whole-grain base and the 7.5 grams of dietary fiber per 40-gram serving. Following the oats are organic dried cane syrup and organic tapioca maltodextrin as sweeteners and texture agents, then organic corn starch, organic brown sugar, natural flavor, glucose syrup, organic molasses, organic caramel color, and sea salt. Glucose syrup is a processed sugar derived from starch; it is non-organic in this formulation. Organic caramel color is used for the characteristic warm-brown maple appearance.
This product contains oats, which may be a concern for individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity if oats are not certified gluten-free — the label does not specify a gluten-free certification.
