About MOZZARELLA GRAB AND GO CHEESE STICKS COATED IN A SEASONED BREADING, MOZZARELLA
Meijer Mozzarella Grab and Go Cheese Sticks are breaded ready-to-eat refrigerated cheese sticks from Meijer, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan Midwest supercenter. The low-moisture part-skim mozzarella core is coated in a wheat-based seasoned breading containing bleached flour, soybean oil, enriched wheat flour, yellow corn flour, milk protein concentrate, soy flour, powdered eggs, nonfat dry milk, and a range of spice extractives and seasonings.
This product contains notable artificial dyes: Blue 1, Red 40, Yellow 5 — three synthetic petroleum-derived dyes that may be of concern for sensitive consumers and children. Sodium aluminum phosphate is used in the leavening system. Allergens include wheat (multiple forms), dairy (mozzarella, milk protein, nonfat dry milk, whey), soy (soy flour), and eggs (powdered eggs). No HFCS or TBHQ appear, but the presence of three artificial food dyes is a significant consideration.
At 311 calories per 100 grams with 27.37 g of carbohydrates, 15.26 g of fat, and 15.26 g of protein, these grab-and-go sticks are a moderate-calorie refrigerated snack. Fiber is 1.60 g. The breaded format and artificial coloring differentiate this from the simpler frozen cheese stick alternatives in the Meijer lineup.
