About BABY CARROTS WITH RANCH DIP

Marketside Baby Carrots with Ranch Dip is a refrigerated fresh snack product sold under Walmart's Marketside private-label brand for fresh and prepared foods, distributed by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. This version of the product uses a ranch dressing made with soybean oil as the primary fat, water, and cultured lowfat buttermilk. The ranch seasoning blend contains modified food starch, monosodium glutamate (MSG) as a flavor enhancer, sugar, dried garlic, dried onion, natural and artificial flavor derived from milk and soybean, whey protein concentrate, corn syrup, spices, xanthan gum, and the preservatives sorbic acid and calcium disodium EDTA. Egg yolks and distilled vinegar are emulsification components. Phosphoric acid adjusts acidity. Natural flavor including milk derivatives rounds out the dressing. The MSG and nucleotide flavor system in this formulation provides pronounced umami character. Monosodium glutamate is FDA-approved and generally recognized as safe but is of note for consumers who monitor intake.

Nutritionally, this product contains 152 calories per 100 grams, with 1.09 grams of protein, 6.52 grams of carbohydrates, 13.04 grams of fat, and 2.2 grams of dietary fiber per 100 grams. The higher fat content and calorie density relative to comparable formulations reflects the richer dressing in this version. Serving size is 92 grams. Allergens include soy, milk, and eggs. The dressing contains MSG and sorbic acid as a preservative. Not suitable for vegan or dairy-free diets.
