About ROASTED ALMONDS
Western Family's Roasted Almonds are almonds roasted in peanut, canola, and/or cottonseed oil with salt. The added oil raises the fat content slightly above raw almonds, and the texture becomes crispier and more shelf-stable. Protein and fiber levels remain solid, and the fat profile stays predominantly monounsaturated. The "slat" listed in the ingredients is presumably a typo for salt on the package. Satisfying as a standalone snack, and the light salt makes them more snackable than plain raw almonds for most people.
Ingredients
ALMONDS, PEANUT AND/OR CANOLA AND/OR COTTONSEED OIL, SLAT.
