About EVERYTHING FRENCH BREAD
Marketside Everything French Bread is a fresh-baked artisan-style loaf from Walmart's Marketside bakery line, designed to deliver elevated flavor and texture at an accessible price. The everything topping — salt, dehydrated garlic, dehydrated onion, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds — is applied to the exterior of a classic French bread formula, giving each slice a savory, aromatic crust.
The bread dough itself contains enriched flour with malted barley flour, water, yeast, and a small amount of high-fructose corn syrup for browning and fermentation. Several dough conditioners are used: DATEM (diacetyl tartaric acid esters of monoglycerides), ascorbic acid, ammonium sulfate, calcium sulfate, L-cysteine monohydrochloride, azodicarbonamide, and sodium aluminum phosphate with baking soda for leavening. Azodicarbonamide (ADA) is a flour-bleaching and dough-conditioning agent approved by the FDA, though it has been banned in some other countries. Soybean oil is used in small quantities. Allergens include wheat, soy, and sesame seeds.
Nutritionally, a 53 g serving provides 226 calories, 9.4 g protein, 45.3 g carbohydrates, 1.9 g fiber, and 1.9 g fat. The low fat content is typical for French bread. This loaf pairs well with soups, stews, and dips, and it makes an excellent base for bruschetta or garlic bread when sliced and toasted with olive oil.
