About DRIED MISSION FIGS

Great Value Dried Mission Figs are a minimally processed dried fig product from Walmart's Great Value brand, containing only two ingredients: dried figs and potassium sorbate as a preservative. Mission figs are a black-skinned variety of fig (Ficus carica) originating from Spain and widely cultivated in California, known for their rich, jammy sweetness and deep color. No added sugar, sulfites, or oils are used, making this one of the cleanest dried fruit products in the Great Value line. Per 100 grams: 262 calories, 64.3 g carbohydrates, 0 g fat, 2.4 g protein, and 9.5 g fiber — the fiber content is exceptionally high at 9.5 g/100 g, among the highest of any dried fruit, derived from both the fruit flesh and the small edible seeds inside figs. Figs are also a good natural source of calcium, potassium, and iron for a plant food. The product is vegan, gluten-free, and free of all major FALCPA allergens. No sulfites are used, making it safe for sulfite-sensitive consumers. Dried mission figs are used in cheese boards, baked goods, salads, energy bars, and as a standalone sweet snack. Great Value offers these at an accessible price point compared to specialty or natural food store alternatives.
