Favorite Day Chocolate and Vanilla Mini Cupcakes are a miniature bakery cupcake product from Target's Favorite Day private-label brand, which is Target's dessert-focused store label introduced as part of the 2019 brand restructuring to handle the confectionery and bakery category previously covered by Archer Farms. This formulation features one color variant of the classic Favorite Day mini cupcake, using FD&C Yellow 5 and Blue 1 dyes in the vanilla icing to produce a specific decorative color.
The chocolate cake component contains sugar, water, egg, enriched wheat flour with B-vitamin fortification, soybean and/or canola oil, modified cornstarch, whey, alkalized cocoa powder, leavening blend, mono- and diglycerides, emulsifier (propylene glycol mono- and diesters, mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin, citric acid), soy lecithin, and natural flavor. The vanilla icing uses icing sugar, vegetable oil shortening (canola, palm, palm kernel oils with polysorbate 60), corn syrup, margarine (soybean and palm oil with whey, soy lecithin), water, nonfat dry milk, butter, modified cornstarch, and artificial colorings Yellow 5 and Blue 1.
