Freshness Guaranteed Assorted Plain, Powdered Sugar, Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes is a three-variety donut hole product sold under Walmart's Freshness Guaranteed fresh bakery label, manufactured and distributed by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Donut holes of this type are fried or baked small rounds of yeast or cake-style dough finished with different sugar coatings. The base dough uses enriched wheat flour with malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid. Water and palm oil are the second and third ingredients by weight. Sugar provides sweetness, and soybean oil contributes additional fat. Minor dough ingredients include soy flour, leavening agents (sodium acid pyrophosphate, baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, and glucono delta-lactone), dextrose, salt, mono- and diglycerides with BHT and citric acid to protect flavor, dried whole eggs, and nonfat dry milk. Preservatives include sodium propionate and potassium sorbate. Additional texture agents include vital wheat gluten, wheat starch, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium stearoyl lactylate, soy lecithin, guar gum, xanthan gum, amylase, and karaya gum. Annatto extract and turmeric extract provide natural color. The cinnamon and powdered sugar coatings include titanium dioxide for whitening and calcium propionate as a preservative.
