Similac for Spit-Up in the SimplePac format is the same anti-reflux powdered infant formula in a resealable soft pouch rather than a traditional can. The formula uses corn syrup and modified rice starch as the main carbohydrate and thickening agents, with milk protein isolate for protein and a fat blend of safflower, soy, and coconut oils. Galactooligosaccharides serve as a prebiotic, and DHA, ARA, lutein, and lycopene are added as part of the nutrient package. The slight thickening effect from the rice starch is intended to reduce spit-up episodes after feeding.
