About GREEK NONFAT YOGURT

Kroger Greek Nonfat Yogurt in S'mores flavor is a novelty Greek yogurt from The Kroger Co.'s Kroger private-label brand, combining a marshmallow-flavored nonfat yogurt base with a graham cracker and chocolate s'mores-inspired mix-in topping. The product demonstrates Kroger's dessert-yogurt hybridization trend.

The yogurt base uses cultured ultrafiltered nonfat milk for concentrated protein, augmented with chicory root inulin for prebiotic fiber, sugar as the primary sweetener, cultured skim milk, natural flavor, and rebaudioside A (stevia) for additional reduced-calorie sweetness. Vitamins A palmitate and D3 are added as required fortification. Active cultures include L. acidophilus and B. bifidum.

The s'mores mix-in topping is more complex: graham crumbles (unbleached unenriched wheat flour, whole wheat/graham flour, sugar, palm and palm kernel oils, molasses, honey, salt, sodium bicarbonate), combined with sugar, palm kernel oil, cocoa powder (processed with alkali — Dutch process for milder chocolate flavor), buttermilk powder (dairy), salt, and natural flavors. Notably, the graham crumbles use unbleached and unenriched flour, which is slightly less processed than the bleached enriched flours common in shelf-stable products.

A 150-gram serving provides 100 calories, 9.33 grams protein, 12.67 grams carbohydrates, 1.33 grams fat, and 2 grams fiber. Allergens: dairy (yogurt base, buttermilk powder), wheat (graham crumbles). No soy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, or sesame declared. Not suitable for vegans or gluten-free consumers.
