The finely shredded format — characterized by thinner, shorter cheese shreds compared to standard shredded cheese — is designed for faster melting on pizzas, quesadillas, tacos, and baked dishes where even cheese distribution and rapid melt are desired.
The ingredient composition includes both component cheeses: Colby cheese from cultured pasteurized milk, salt, enzymes, and annatto color; and Monterey Jack cheese from cultured pasteurized milk, salt, and enzymes. An anti-caking blend of potato starch, corn starch, and powdered cellulose is added to prevent the shreds from clumping together during storage and handling. Natamycin, a naturally derived antifungal agent from Streptomyces natalensis fermentation, is used as a mold inhibitor. Allergens include milk.
