Per 100 g it provides 175 calories, 30 g carbohydrates, 5 g fat, 5 g protein, and 5 g fiber. Jaggery -- unrefined cane sugar -- contributes a distinctive molasses-like sweetness. Tamarind and acetic acid provide the characteristic sour tang. Contains coconut (tree nut). Naturally gluten-free. Sodium benzoate extends shelf life at ambient temperatures. Suited as a dipping sauce for samosas and pakoras, a sandwich spread, or a condiment alongside biryani and grilled meats.
