Meijer's Mixed Berry Whipped Cream Cheese Spread combines a light, whipped cream cheese base with real strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry pieces for a fruit-forward bagel spread. The formula uses pasteurized milk and cream, sugar, whey protein concentrate, modified food starch, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, salt, cheese culture, natural flavor, fruit and vegetable juice (for natural color), guar gum, citric acid, carob bean gum, xanthan gum, and natamycin (a natural mold inhibitor produced by fermentation of Streptomyces natalensis).
Natamycin is a naturally-derived antifungal used as a clean-label alternative to synthetic preservatives like potassium sorbate or sorbic acid in cheese products — it is permitted by the FDA and approved in the EU. No artificial colors, HFCS, or artificial preservatives are declared. Allergens include dairy (pasteurized milk, cream, whey protein concentrate) — the primary ingredient. No soy, wheat, eggs, or nuts are declared.
At 250 calories per 100 grams, 25 grams of carbohydrates, 17.5 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, and no fiber, this is a moderately calorie-dense spread with significant fat from cream.
