Meijer TruePlus Glucose Tablets in Orange flavor are a medical-grade fast-acting glucose product from Meijer's TruePlus diabetes care line, designed specifically to treat hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) in people with diabetes. The primary ingredient is dextrose (D-glucose), the fastest-absorbing simple sugar and the clinical standard for hypoglycemia correction. Maltodextrin supports the tablet matrix, citric acid provides tartness, and magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose are standard pharmaceutical excipients for tablet formation and flow. Natural and artificial orange flavor and Yellow #6 provide the flavor and color.

At 375 calories per 100 grams with 100 g carbohydrates (entirely glucose), these tablets are essentially pure fast-acting sugar in controlled tablet form. A single 4 g tablet provides approximately 15 calories and 3.75 g of rapidly absorbed glucose. This is consistent with the standard "rule of 15" for treating mild hypoglycemia: 15 grams of fast-acting glucose (approximately 4 tablets) should raise blood glucose by approximately 40-60 mg/dL within 15 minutes.
