Nassau Candy's Milk Chocolate Malt Balls put malted milk center stage, surrounding it with a chocolate shell made from chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, whole milk, and sugar. Partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil appears in the center, and the ingredient list is long and layered with emulsifiers, glycerol monostearate, and confectionery glaze. Essentially all sugar and fat, with no fiber and minimal protein. Classic candy-counter snack, sweet and crunchy, with no pretense of being anything else.
