About KROGER, ORIGINAL SWEET & CREAMY LIQUID CREAMER
Kroger Original Sweet and Creamy Liquid Creamer is a single-serve liquid non-dairy creamer from the Kroger brand, designed for portability in individual sealed cups. The primary ingredients are sugar and water with a vegetable oil blend that may include high oleic soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, and/or partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil. The presence of partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) is a significant flag: these are a source of artificial trans fats, which the FDA determined are no longer generally recognized as safe. The quantity per serving is small but present.
Allergen flags: sodium caseinate is listed as a milk derivative and is clearly marked with an asterisk on the label — despite being a "non-dairy" creamer, this product contains a milk protein. Consumers with casein allergy or strict dairy-free requirements must avoid it. Soy is present via the vegetable oil blend. Propylene glycol is used as a carrier; it is FDA-approved but worth noting for sensitive consumers. Artificial flavor and unspecified added color are also present.
Nutritionally, this creamer is very calorie-dense at 500 calories per 100 g — but individual serving portions are 5 ml, delivering approximately 25 calories per mini-cup, mostly from sugar and fat. Protein and fiber are zero. The PHO content and artificial flavor make this a less clean-label option compared to the Kroger Original Coffee Creamer in the same product family. It functions as a shelf-stable sweetened creamer for coffee bars, offices, and travel situations.
