About KROGER, CINNAMON ROLLS WITH CREAM CHEESE ICING
Kroger Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing are refrigerated ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls sold under the Kroger private label of The Kroger Co., available in the refrigerated dough section at Kroger, Harris Teeter, King Soopers, and other banner stores. This product is similar in format to national brand canned cinnamon rolls, baked from refrigerated dough with a separate icing packet.
The dough base is enriched bleached wheat flour with a vegetable oil blend of palm, soybean, and/or cottonseed oil. Whey is listed as a dairy ingredient. Leavening comes from baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, and sodium aluminum phosphate. The cinnamon filling contains cinnamon, corn syrup, and palm oil. Eggs are included in the dough. Cream cheese in the icing is made from cultured cream and nonfat milk — a genuine dairy component. The icing and filling system uses multiple gums (xanthan, guar, carob bean), polysorbate 60, mono and diglycerides, and titanium dioxide as a whitener. Sorbic acid is the preservative. Artificial dyes Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 provide color to the icing.
At 364 calories per 100 grams with 4.55 grams of protein, 50 grams of carbohydrates, 13.64 grams of fat, and 2.3 grams of fiber, this is a calorie-dense refrigerated pastry. Allergens include wheat, dairy (whey, cream cheese), eggs, and soy. Not suitable for gluten-free, dairy-free, or egg-free diets. The cream cheese icing distinguishes this variant from the standard icing version and contributes genuine dairy flavor.
