Green and Black's Organic Butterscotch bar is a smaller 15-gram portion of the brand's certified organic milk chocolate variety that incorporates butterscotch pieces made from raw cane sugar, glucose syrup, butter, palm oil, molasses, and natural flavoring. The milk chocolate itself meets the brand's standard of at least 37% cocoa solids and 24% milk solids. Soy lecithin and vanilla complete the formulation. Fairtrade certification covers the sugar, cocoa, molasses, and vanilla. The butterscotch inclusions make this notably sweeter and richer than the plain milk or dark varieties, with the molasses adding a slight caramel depth that distinguishes it from simple toffee-flavored chocolate.
