This variant uses meringue powder without sodium aluminum sulfate — the simpler formulation consisting of corn starch, egg white, sugar, gum arabic, citric acid, cream of tartar, and vanillin — making it a slightly cleaner meringue powder formulation than some Favorite Day variants that include sodium aluminum sulfate. The base is the standard Favorite Day icing formula: sugar, palm oil and canola oil shortening with mono- and diglycerides and polysorbate 80, water, artificial flavor, corn starch, salt, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, and natural and artificial vanilla creme flavor. No colorants. The white color comes from the shortening and the natural opacity of the sugar-fat matrix. White decorating icing is a versatile base suitable for cookie flooding, writing, snow effects, lace decoration, and as a neutral element in multi-color designs. Allergens: eggs (egg white in meringue powder).
