About COFFEE CREAMER, ORIGINAL
Original powdered coffee creamer from Spartan, a McIlhenny Company store brand. The non-dairy creamer is made from corn syrup solids, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, and sodium caseinate (a milk protein derivative). Dipotassium phosphate prevents curdling in coffee; mono- and diglycerides and soy lecithin act as emulsifiers; silicon dioxide prevents caking. Per 100g: 500 calories, 0g protein, 50g carbs, 25g fat. High in both sugar and trans fat from the partially hydrogenated oil. Despite the non-dairy label, sodium caseinate is a milk-derived protein, making it unsuitable for milk-allergic individuals. Dissolves easily in hot coffee or tea. A value-priced shelf-stable creamer option.
