About CANDIES

Skittles Candies are a widely recognized fruit-flavored chewy confection based on sugar, corn syrup, and hydrogenated palm kernel oil. Per 100 g, they contain 400 calories, 92.5 g carbohydrates, and 3.75 g fat, with no protein or fiber. The candy shell and chewy center rely on tapioca dextrin, modified corn starch, and sodium citrate for texture. Flavor is from natural and artificial sources. Coloring is extensive -- titanium dioxide plus six additional synthetic dyes (Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, Blue 2, and their lake forms) are listed. Carnauba wax provides the glossy shell finish. Not suitable for those avoiding artificial colors, which are a defining characteristic of Skittles. Gluten-free. A treat-tier product with no meaningful nutritional value beyond caloric energy.
