Mi Dulzura Panela is a traditional Latin American unrefined cane sugar made from a single ingredient: cane juice that has been cooked and solidified. Per 100 g, it provides 375 calories and 100 g carbohydrates, entirely from natural cane sugars. Panela, also called piloncillo in Mexico or rapadura in Brazil, differs from refined brown sugar in that it retains the natural molasses content of the sugarcane without additional processing or centrifugation. This gives it a distinctive, slightly caramelized, earthy sweetness with traces of minerals naturally present in cane juice. Gluten-free and vegan.
